Weekend morning with chocolate tea and lavendar aroma

IMG_9812

Despite a weekend I woke up rather early today, then cleaned up my room and poured myself a cup of chocolate tea. I felt so good that I burnt an aroma candle with lavendar oil, and read Haruki Murakami's collection of short essays (this is quite a nice weekend book).

... and now it's already evening! Where has my day gone!? I love slow weekends.

Arne & Carlos

As I attempted to find out whether my knit was remotely Norwegian, I came across Arne & Carlos. It's a fashion brand, of hand-knitted clothing, started only in 2002 and seem to have gained respect very speedily.

In 2008, they have even collaborated with Comme des Garcons.

Interestingly, Arne is Norwegian and Carlos is Swedish. And they lead an extremely Scandinavian life. This video is too hilarious!

What I really want to wear...

I'm in a cranky mood this week. I am a little tired of the polluted air whereever I go these days... I crave for fresh air, in a nordic country somewhere.

Given that I'm working on something in Norway as we speak, and since I plan to go skiing in Norway this winter (can't wait!), I post here my most Norwegian looking knit, also fetched from my U.S. storage.

It's by an LA brand Free People, so it would probably not withstand any real winter weather up in the north...

Oversized glass necklace

Back in HK, I dug this out of my stuff brought back from the U.S. It's a lovely (but heavy) necklace that is exotically from Banana Republic. I need to get out of wearing the long pearl necklace everyday, so maybe this will be it...?

Most recent acquisition from sister, a flower shirt

My sister very kindly gave me her new shirt that she wore to DC when we met because I might look good in it. Now it's my favorite outfit, along with this black knit skirt from J. Lindberg that I got this summer in Stockholm. At the hotel in Guilin.

Beautiful Guilin river cruise

I was told that Guilin is one of the prettiest places in China, and so it was. The multiples and densely packed miniature mountains beautifully reflected on the calm water, as we slowly cruised down the river on a bamboo boat.
