F12 in Stockholm

A lovely birthday dinner in Stockholm. This restaurant named F12 was off of the old city Gamlastan and had a very fresh springy course with maybe 10 or more small dishes. It was perfect for the time of the year. I especially liked the oyster with caviar, the scallop that was sandwiched between some leaves, and the suckling lamb (anything suckling is always nice, why is that). Yum. The dessert was the most unique pot of plant looking thing, with shaven ice in brown liquorice sauce with again some green leaves. Very, very yum.

I just had to get it for myself when I saw this at the airport. On my way to Stockholm for the weekend...

Buddhist temple in Colombo

I managed to run to the temple for 3 minutes, before catching the plane back to Frankfurt. There was an elephant in the backyard!

I'm in Colombo!

When I arrived in Sri Lanka, I was surprised to feel the almost Bali vibe. People are really relaxed but there is a sense of order on the street vs. India's chaos. Too bad I am only here for one night.

By the way, you must try the restaurant Ministry of Crab. They have superb crab but also the ambience is fantastic, housed in an old Dutch hospital. Mmmmm..

A beautiful city near or in Mumbai

One of the meetings I had in Mumbai was an hour, two-hours away, where there were beautiful buildings. I wish I had time to walk around, but unfortunately all snapshots had to be taken from the car... Apparently these are world heritage edifices. I must look up the name of the place.. or can someone tell me?
