Weekend visit to Mainz

Mainz is one of the cities that has a perfect size for visiting on a random Sunday. While the city itself is not Heidelberg (there are some unromantic stores and mediocre buildings amidst the old ones), Mainz has a really nice Gutenberg printing museum and a ginormous cathedral that had a beautiful court yard. Nice also that you can roam around and find fairy tale sounding street names.

The flowers and greens are so beautiful now. Awww, the start of European summer!

Good stuff of Germany

The sausages you buy and eat on the streets in Germany never betray you. Such a luxury!

Frankfurt evening time

I have been seriously missing out (for more than a year!) of this vibrant life along the Main River in the evening here. It is nice to people watch and just chat about nothing after work, with some (ideally glass of wine for me but this is Germany hence) beer.

Taunus forest walk

Being close to the woods is definitely an advantage in Germany. This one was quite hilly and filled with mountain bikers. We happened to sit at a cross road after a tough uphill road, and observed the many bikers coming and stopping for a breadth.
