Beach time in Monterosso

Monterosso had a really nice beach, with a good amount of Italian people.

There was a group of some fit but mostly unfit women jumping off the cliff far away. Good going!

Taken upon arriving at our hotel in Cinque Terre. It was probably the most torturous drive to get to the hotel on top of the cliff. Every 2 minutes you or the other driver has to back up 10m or more to not fall into the ocean. But this view!

Varberg in south west Sweden

It looks like you are walking on water, but this beach in Sweden has 10cm deep water for as long as you can see. For a Swedish water, it gets nicely warmed up during the day, and you can stay in for more than 10 minutes (or the entire day)!

Today was especially beautiful in Uluwatu... The water was extra blue and brought in enormous waves. Thank god I wasn't surfing today.

The ever so beautiful Alila Uluwatu

I have finally made it back! All the good stuff of Bali is giving me so much energy.

My favorite of the day was of course the combo of visiting Dreamland Beach and Alila Uluwatu. The crazy choppy waves and the body board made me so hungry, I could eat the entire menu at Alila Uluwatu's special Balinese restaurant. How perfect it is to be in the safe hands of the clifftop hotel after a ride on the crazy blue waves (literally).

A weekend in Cheung Chau Island

Yesterday, I visited one of the many small islands in HK called Cheung Chau. Apparently, it is a place for HK couples to visit, to get away from the busy city and parents. While the seafood dining area is somewhat chaotic and extremely hot (seafood was very decent and reasonable), once you walk towards the coast on the east side of the island, you get a splendid breeze and suddenly feel like maybe you are in the Mediterranean (at least for 10 seconds).

I very much enjoyed walking through the residences, which looked more like Macau and European. I have also never seen Chinese people bathing in the sun on the beach, so that was a refreshing sight!
