Blooming lilies

I woke up this morning, and it smelled very nice in my room. My lilies have opened up!

HK is on sale

It is sale time in HK! I am a week behind the Honkies shopping in frenzy. I had forgotten how fun it is to shop at nice department stores since my friend left Bergdorf Goodman (and the 70x70 sale, a wonderful 49% percent off of EVERYTHING in the store for staff, became history). But my shopping today at Lane Crawford, a nice HK department store was almost as good.

My trophy of the day was a dress by Hanii Y, a Korean designer from NYC. Apparently she aims for Bohemian vintage chic. As it is from her 2011 Resort Collection, I shall wear it this summer in Europe.



I also loved these sandals from ASH.



I also got jeans, although I hesitated first, as I MUST get ACNE from Sweden this summer. BUT RUE de Jeans was HKD 500, so it was silly for me to resist.

Tropical bird garden in Hong Kong Park

I went to the Hong Kong Park which is just behind my office in Admiralty. In the back, they have a beautiful bird garden, where 90% people are geared with a ginormous camera. I tried to blend in with my no zoom single macro lens Canon.

Shanghai Tang

Shanghai Tang depicts oriental beauty at its best and I feel, really showcases the Western longing for the orient (they are indeed owned by the Swiss!). These pictures from this season are BEAUTIFUL.



Sorry to say that I do not feel this label has the best stitching and quality clothing. But nonetheless, the concept is beautiful.

I visited the store in HK, in the famous Peddar Building. And I just found out that they are moving, due to the next tenant (Abercrombie) offering to pay double the rent. Not that I'm a huge fan of their clothing but adore their photos and images, somehow I feel it's too bad to move out a HK originated label out of such a good old place...

Lovely Indonesian skirts

These are skirts I made in Indonesia. I call them gyoza skirts, because the hem at the bottom looks exactly so... The original was made by an Indonesian designer who was my friend Elvi's friend and who happened to live in the same apartment as me. This skirt really makes your legs look magically long(er) and lean(er). The pink one in the middle is the original with Indonesian fabric, and the two others were made with Indian fabric.
